But it made for a big discrepancy between the two comics. It made sense then, when I was just sort of figuring out what I was doing with comics, and I think it was the right choice for me at the time. One of my biggest regrets over the years has been the lack of color for 'Cruelty'. 'Unconditional' followed afterwards, wrapping up the story of these two. It was actually just supposed to be a standalone image at first, but I fell in love with the idea of the characters, and 'Cruelty' happened. It's been nearly a decade since I first released the original version of this image, and the comic that followed.
